Autumn Grouse Greetings Card

This greeting card has been printed from an original watercolour illustration of Grouse and her autumn wreath. Printed onto 300gsm card, it has been left blank inside for you to write your own message. It would be a lovely birthday card or to say hello to someone special. The card is approximately 18 x 12.5cm.

Each card comes with a white envelope, wrapped in tissue paper, and is sent in a hard-backed envelope.

The story behind the illustration….

The week started off rather soggy and it was definitely wellie weather but towards the end of the week, Grouse was very glad to feel the sunshine on her back. There was a chill to the air in the mornings now, a sign that Autumn had arrived. The morning dew lay heavier in the grass in the cottage garden and the countryside beyond. The fields were bare earth once more and the countryside was starting to enter its slumber. The hedgerows were, luckily, still quite laden with the bounty of summer and Grouse hoped that Auntie Quail had left some berries for the birds. Hawthorn and rose hip syrups were being made by auntie Quail and Grouse was on apple crumble duty. There was also time to whip up an autumnal wreath for the front door and then, whilst the crumble cooked, a little paws up and cup of tea time.
